Prosecutors Demand 6 Years In Prison For 9-Year-Old Boy Rapists In Ambon
The prosecutor demanded that the defendant George Sarmanella alias Chocolaten be sentenced to six years in prison in the rape case against a 9-year-old boy.
"Asking the panel of judges who examined and tried this case to declare the defendant guilty of violating Article 82 paragraph (1) of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Stipulation of Government in Lieu of Law Number 1 of 2016 concerning the second amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning child protection," said Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Ambon District Attorney (Kejari), Ingrid Louhenapessy, in Ambon, Maluku, Monday, January 15, confiscated by Antara.
The claim was conveyed in a trial led by the chairman of the Ambon District Court (PN) panel of judges, Martha Maitimu, who was accompanied by two member judges.
The defendant was also charged with paying a fine of Rp. 60 million, a subsidiary of four months in prison and a court fee of Rp. 2,000.
The aggravating thing was that the defendant was charged with imprisonment because his actions resulted in the victim and his family feeling ashamed of the community. Meanwhile, the mitigating thing is that the defendant has never been convicted and admitted his actions.
According to the prosecutor, the defendant's criminal act occurred on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at around 13.30 WIT.
At that time, the defendant invited the victim to enter his room and then locked the door, then asked to massage the defendant's body, ordered the victim to sit on the defendant's genitals and given Rp10,000.
