Fire Hits The Sepempang Kepri Bumdes Car, Losses Estimated At Hundreds Of Millions
KEPRI - The car of the Sepempang Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) in Natuna Regency, Riau Islands (Kepri) was burned down. Losses are estimated at hundreds of millions of rupiah.
"The fire is thought to have occurred in the afternoon when village employees returned home," said Head of Sepempang Village, Bunguran Timur District, Muhammad Shalihin when contacted by telephone, Monday, January 15, as reported by Antara.
According to him, thanks to the assistance of TNI personnel from Yon Komposit 1/Gardapati, the fire that burned the garage did not have time to burn the village office building next to it.
"Thanks to the rapid action of the TNI, the fire was extinguished so that it did not set fire to the office," he said.
Apart from the TNI, he continued, the community and firefighters who came later also helped ensure that the fire had been completely extinguished.
He added that he did not yet know the cause of the fire that did not cause any casualties and hoped that a similar incident would not happen again.
