After The Visit Of The Metro Jaya Police Chief, A Brawl Action Still Occurs In The Central Jakarta Area

JAKARTA - A brawl between two groups of teenagers occurred again on Jalan Pangkalan Asem, Central Jakarta on Sunday night, January 14. The brawl occurred at around 23.05 WIB.

This brawl incident in Central Jakarta was triggered by the throwing of a bottle into the Rawa Tengah alley, Johar Baru.

"Initially there were three riding motorbikes. So they threw a bottle of beling towards Gang Rawa Tengah. They didn't accept the throw, the local youth then chased and one person was caught," said Abdulah, one of the residents when met by reporters, Monday, January 15.

Abdulah said the young man who was caught was taken to the local RW office. Not long after, a number of teenagers equipped with sharp weapons (Sajam) attacked again.

"Their sharps are complete, ranging from samurai, cerrit to firecrackers. There is one victim of a Cempaka Putih child," he said.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro said his party was still investigating the brawl.

"We are still conducting an investigation regarding the brawl at Asem Base, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta. We have also succeeded in preventing the brawl between teenagers," Susatyo Purnomo Condro when confirmed.

Furthermore, Susatyo said the brawl took place at the border between the Johar Baru area and Cempaka Putih. Currently, said Kombes Susatyo, his party is still pursuing the perpetrators of the brawl that occurred in the area.

"We will visit RT, RW and community leaders to prevent brawls. We are also looking for brawlers," he said.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya visited a brawl-prone area in Kramat Village, Senen District, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, January 9, evening.

Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto accompanied by the Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro said the regional symbol activity was a routine police activity to hear directly about problems in the community.

"We are concerned with the problems that exist in the community. We heard and we are looking for a solution," he told reporters at the location, Tuesday, January 9, evening.
