5 Teenagers In Lhokseumawe Aceh Arrested For Suspected Perpetrators Of Robbery, Sharp Weapons Confiscated
The Civil Service Police Unit and Wilaytul Hisbah (PP and WH) of Lhokseumawe City, Aceh arrested five teenagers suspected of being robbers in the Kuta Makmur area, North Aceh Regency, and officers secured evidence in the form of sickles and samurai.
Head of the Lhokseumawe City Satpol PP and WH Heri Maulana said the five teenagers came from various regions in North Aceh and Lhokseumawe.
"We have secured five teenagers at the Satpol PP and WH Offices in Lhokseumawe City to undergo further investigation," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 15.
The arrests were made on Sunday (14/1) at around 15.00 WIB. At that time, personnel were visiting the area, and receiving reports from residents regarding a group of teenagers who were increasingly troubling because they often carried out acts of robbery.
Based on the report, officers conducted searches and found teenagers according to the characteristics reported by residents, riding motorbikes and motorcycle rickshaws.

"Currently these five teenagers are undergoing examination to find out their motives for carrying sharp weapons and roaming the oil palm plantation area. If found guilty, they will be processed in accordance with applicable law," he said.
These five teenagers will undergo coaching at the Lhokseumawe City Satpol PP and WH Offices. They are still allowed to go to school, but after school they have to return to the office, and attend recitations at night to increase faith and piety.
"We want to give them the opportunity to change for the better. We will provide intensive guidance, both in terms of education, religion, and skills," he said.
