Kaesang Gathering Asks PWNU Jakarta For Advice
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep visited the DKI Jakarta Nahdlatul Ulama Regional Management Office (PWNU) to stay in touch and at the same time seek advice from NU religious leaders.
"Yes, silaturahim," said Kaesang on the sidelines of a meeting with DKI Jakarta PWNU figures and administrators in the Petamburan area, Central Jakarta, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 10.
Kaesang arrived at the PWNUDKI Jakarta Office accompanied by his wife,Erina Gudono, and a number of PSI cadres. Kaesang's arrival was welcomed by the DKI Jakarta PWNU management, community leaders, and local religious leaders.
Chairman of PWNU DKI Jakarta Samsul Ma'arif said the arrival of the youngest son of President Joko Widodo was to stay in touch and at the same time seek advice from NU clerical figures.
According to Samsul, it is important for every figure and political party, which will later become policy makers, to always involve religious leaders before making regulations.
Samsul said that the implementation of regulations, especially those involving the community, must be carried out through a religious approach so that its implementation can run more effectively.

"Basically, yes, we support, yes. As a political party, we must view policy determination, in addition to having a macro view, there must also be a religious approach," said Samsulai, a closed discussion for the media.
When asked if Kaesang's arrival was to equalize support for the 2024 General Election, Samsul was reluctant to say it was too far away.
"Yes, support for all political parties," said Samsul.
