Former COVID-19 Task Force Spokesman Achmad Yurianto Was Appointed By Jokowi As Chairman Of The BPJS Supervisory Board
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo officially inaugurates the Chairperson and Member of the Supervisory Board of the Board of Directors of the Social Security Administrator for Health (BPJS Health) for the term of office of 2021-2026. This is stated in the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 37/P of 2021 concerning the Appointment of the Supervisory Board of the BPJS Health Directors.
Jokowi appointed Achmad Yurianto as Chairman of the BPJS Health Supervisory Board (Dewas). Yurianto is a former Director-General of Disease Control and Prevention at the Ministry of Health and a former spokesperson for the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19.
"Alhamdulillah, today our BPJS Health Supervisory Board has been inaugurated by the President," said Yurianto in a YouTube broadcasted by the Presidential Secretariat, Monday, February 22.
Yuri admitted that his job as the BPJS Supervisory Board was quite heavy. This is because BPJS Health is part of the government's efforts to build a health system, build health nationally.
"We will continue what has been done by the previous management. Of course, by working even harder, because the challenges we face in the future will not get lighter," said Yuri.
"The challenges we face are increasingly complex, not only related to the pandemic disease that we are currently facing, but also because of basic health problems we still have a lot of work to do," he continued.
