Vice President Will Attend The 51st Anniversary Of PDIP To Represent Jokowi Who Visits Overseas

Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin said he was invited to celebrate the 51st Anniversary of the PDI-P (PDIP) in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 10. The vice president also confirmed that he would attend.

This was conveyed by the Vice President on the sidelines of a working visit in Yogyakarta, Tuesday, January 9.

"Yes, I was invited," said the Vice President, quoted from a press statement video, which was confiscated by Antara.

The vice president said that because President Joko Widodo was going abroad, he would attend to fulfill the invitation to represent the government.

"Representing the government. Hopefully, if there are no obstacles, it means tomorrow morning I have to go back (to Jakarta)," said the Vice President.

Previously, Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana said that until Tuesday the President had not received an invitation to attend the 51st Anniversary of the PDIP.

Ari also said that no request for a video of PDIP Anniversary was submitted to President Joko Widodo.

The President himself is not expected to be able to attend the 51st Anniversary of the PDIP Wednesday, January 10 because today until January 14, 2024, the President will visit the Philippines, Vietnam and Brunei Darussalam.

Jokowi's absence from the PDI-P Anniversary is in the spotlight, because Jokowi's relationship with the PDI-P is said to have been strained since the nomination of presidential and vice-presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election.
