Aprilia RS 457 Starts Production In India, Sends March 2024

JAKARTA - Introduced in September 2023, Aprilia announced that the production of the motor sport entry level RS 457 officially started at the Piaggio factory in Baramati, India.

Built with world-class standards, this facility employs most women, and is equipped with advanced assembly lines to ensure maximum quality, including the Aprilia RS 457 model.

Quoting from the Rideapart page, the Indian market Aprilia RS 457 was officially launched on December 8, 2023, during India Bike Week. At that time this motorbike could already be ordered assuming March 2024 delivery.

Seeing the specifications, this motorbike is equipped with a new 457cc engine, liquid-cooled, fuel injection, with the engine producing 47 hp at 9,400 rpm and 43.5 Nm torque at 6,700 rpm.

In the chassis section, this motor comes with aluminum twin-spar frame compact form. It has maximum stiffness but with minimum weight. It is complemented by a 41mm upside shock damping of the front and a rear monoshock. The two suspension components only offer preload adjustments, providing maximum comfort.

Various interesting features are also embedded, such as a five-inch color TFT screen that monitors all related driving statistics. The throttle-by-wire system offers three driving modes, as well as three levels of traction control.

Speaking of price, Aprilia RS 457 in India is priced at Rs 410.000 or a conjecture of Rp. 76 million, while for the United States market it touched US$6.799 or the range of Rp106 million for Prismatic Dark and Badminton Light colors, and for livery Racing Stripes US$6.899 or the range of Rp107 million.
