Anies Reported To Bawaslu In The Aftermath Of Ungunkit Tanah Prabowo 340 Thousand Hectares

Presidential candidate (candidate) number 1, Anies Baswedan, was reported to the Indonesian Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) due to mentioning the land belonging to the presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto covering an area of 340 thousand hectares.

Anies was reported by a group of people on behalf of the Legislators of the Clean Election (PHPB) on Monday, January 8.

PHPB representative Subadria Nuka views that Anies' statement in the third debate of the 2024 presidential election some time ago was a slander that attacked personally.

"We ask that the Indonesian Bawaslu immediately follow up on our report so that the person concerned can be processed immediately," Subdaria said in his statement, quoted on Tuesday, January 9.

Subdaria assessed that Anies' statement regarding the area of land owned by the Minister of Defense was not based on facts. This is because, in the report on the assets of state administrators (LHKPN) Prabowo, it was recorded that the value of the land owned was not proportional to the total area of Prabowo's land disclosed by Anies.

"Regarding the land parcels owned by presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto is 340 hectares, this is not true, because it is known that the private lands owned by Prabowo Subianto are as stated in the LHKPN, Prabowo is recorded as owning land and buildings worth Rp275,320,450,000. "explained Subdaria.

In its report, PHPB assesses that Anies violated Article 280 paragraph (1) letter c Jo. Article 521 of the Election Law and Article 72 paragraph (1) letter c of the General Election Commission Regulation Number 20 of 2023 concerning Election Campaigns.

In the presidential candidate debate on Sunday, January 7, Anies highlighted Prabowo's land covering an area of 340,000 hectares. Meanwhile, according to him, there are still many TNI soldiers who do not yet have official housing. Anies views this as inequality because the welfare of the apparatus under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense has not been optimized.
