Youth Body Found Mining In Angke Kembangan River, SAR Team Calls Victim Drowning
JAKARTA - A teenage corpse was found floating in Kali Angke, Taman Permata Buana Complex, North Kembangan Village, Kembangan District, West Jakarta, Tuesday, January 9.
When identified, it turned out that the victim was identified as M. Revan Kurniawan (17). He is a victim who drowned in Kali Angke, Duri Kosambi Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta.
The victim's body was found by the joint SAR team. The victim has been searched since last Sunday, January 7th.
"It was found dead at a radius of 9 KM from the scene," said Head of the Jakarta Basarnas as SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) during the SAR operation, Fazzli when confirmed, Tuesday, January 9.
When found, the victim was in a prone position above the surface of the Angke River flow.
"We received information from water agency officers who saw the victim's body. Then we immediately evacuated it to the funeral home for us to hand it over to the family," he said.

Efforts to search for victims were carried out up to 11 kilometers from the scene. The search was carried out through the method of shrinking the Angke River using rubber boats and by land by combing the riverbanks.
Previously, it was reported that a teenager named M Revan Kurniawan (17) had disappeared, eroded by the Angke River, Jalan Cantiga, Duri Kosambi Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta, Sunday, January 7. The victim drowned while swimming in the bath with his friends.
But unfortunately, when the victim drowned, the victim's friends managed to save themselves on the banks of Kali Angke. Furthermore, the victim's friends asked the residents for help. Residents also reported to the Jakarta Basarnas.
After receiving reports of drowning victims, the Jakarta SAR Office dispatched a number of joint personnel to the scene.
