Elvis Presley's AI Hologram Concert Will Bring Time Travel Sensation

JAKARTA - Elvis Presley's hologram AI (artificial intelligence) concert titled Elvis Evolution will be held in London next November.

According to the creator, this concert is more about time travel or travel than ABBA Voyage.

Quoted from Nme, Tuesday, this immersive concert experience will use AI technology and holograms to create digital holograms the size of the legendary star from home video recordings and private photos.

The Ai Elvis hologram concert follows the launch of the ABBA avatar concert titled ABBA Voyage two years ago, which continued until at least November 2024 at the ABBA Arena with a capacity of 3,000 people at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Andrew McGuinness, founder of Layered Reality, who is behind the Elvis concert, told BBC News what to expect from the spectacle.

"You're going to enter a complicated set that makes you feel like you've been traveling in time," he said. "It's more about what we want people to feel, we use temperature, taste, and smell to make people feel like they were in Memphis in 1958."

Elvis Estate (the owner of Elvis's asset rights) provides Layered Reality with thousands of hours of live footage, home video, and a silent image of King of Rock and Roll.

Regarding the difference between ABBA Voyage and Elvis Evolution, he added: ABBA Voyage has the luxury of capturing live artists, but we are not that lucky.

"AI produces the original Elvis version, which was born from original material, but [also] allows you to do new things with it."

This concert is a collaboration between Layered Reality, Elvis Estate, and Authentic Brands Group.

After its opening in London, the next concert is planned to be held in Las Vegas, Tokyo, and Berlin.
