KPPPA Reminds Again The Service Of Greeting 129 For Children And Women Victims Of Violence, Here's The No WhatsApp
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA) stated that the Friends of Women and Children (SAPA) 129 hotline service provides easy access for victims of violence against women and children to report.
"The government already has various complaint service institutions that function as a forum for handling cases of violence, both at the central and regional levels," said Deputy for Child Protection at the Ministry of PPPA Nahar when contacted in Jakarta, Monday, January 8, as quoted by Antara.
The SAPA 129 service also facilitates access for whistleblowers to complain about cases of violence against women and children through the SAPA 129 hotline and or WhatsApp at 08111-129-129.
There are six standards for service of SAPA 129, including public complaints, case management, victim outreach, victim assistance, mediation, and placement of victims in safe houses.
In addition, the local government also provides similar services through 258 Technical Implementation Units for the Protection of Women and Children (UPTD PPA) at the district/city and 34 province levels.

Based on data from the Online Information System for the Protection of Women and Children (Simphony of PPA), it was recorded that in the January to November 2023 range there were 15,120 cases of violence against children with 12,158 female victims and 4,691 male victims, where cases of sexual violence were ranked first of the highest number of victims from 2019 to 2023.
"The case of violence against children that occurred in Indonesia is a challenge for us at the Ministry of PPPA and related parties. Especially now, it doesn't just happen in the offline realm," he said.
Furthermore, he said, it is undeniable that the online realm is also one of the mediums of violence against children ranging from bullying to sexual violence.
"This challenge is getting tougher, especially the demand for children's needs to carry out various activities online," he said.
