Shin Tae-yong Asks Supporters To Be Patient About The Development Of The Indonesian National Team
JAKARTA - Indonesian national team coach Shin Tae-yong asked supporters to be patient about the development of his foster children after failing to get satisfactory results in recent matches.
It is known that in their last four matches, the Indonesian national team was only able to secure one draw against the Philippines and lost to Iraq and Libya.
"Obviously I want to get a win in every game, but so far the squad is lacking, but there will definitely be progress and it will be better," said Shin Tae-yong as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, January 6.
"So I ask the fans not to be too hasty about our development, so be more patient because Indonesian football will be better," he continued.
Latest Jordi Amat and colleagues had to lose a narrow 1-2 defeat to Libya in the second test match atELAH Mardan Stadium, Antalya, Turkey, Friday, in order to prepare for the 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar.
In the first test match, last Tuesday (2/1), Indonesia was recorded to have lost 0-4 to Libya and STY explained that the results of these two matches were disappointing, but their foster children continued to show progress and were expected to be better when competing in the 2023 Asian Cup against Iraq, Monday, January 15.
"As long as we are in Turkey we only do physical training, not yet into tactical training. Only one day before the match we had a short tactical exercise," he explained.
"I really anticipate against Iraq and I use the formation. The players have worked hard. Beyond the score, I am quite satisfied with today's game," he continued.
