Visit Missile Launch Vehicle Manufacturers, Kim Jong-un Wants Production To Be Improved To Face The Enemy
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has called for increased production of various missile launcher vehicles, calling it an important task of preparing "military combat" with enemies, state media on Friday.
Visiting the transporter erector launcher manufacturer, Leader Kim said, producing various vehicles for tactical and strategic weapons is the main task in strengthening the country's nuclear war prevention.
"Strengthening the position and role of the factory is very important, given the difficult situation that requires the state to be better prepared for military battles with its enemies, it indicates a task that must be fulfilled by the factory," the KCNA news agency reported.
This state media report comes hours after the White House said on Thursday North Korea had recently given Russia ballistic missiles and launchers to use in Moscow's war against Ukraine, some of which had been fired by Russia into Ukraine.
Washington has for months accused Pyongyang of supplying military equipment to Moscow in exchange for Russia's technical support to help North Korea improve its military capabilities.
North Korea itself denies it is sending weapons to Moscow.
In an important meeting of his party last week, Leader Kim ordered his country's military, ammunition industry and the nuclear weapons sector to accelerate war preparations, as he said US policies made war unavoidable.
