Rain Accompanied By Wind, Old Building In Pasar Minggu Collapses

JAKARTA Due to rain accompanied by wind, the house on Jalan Swadaya I RT.003/RW.05, Ragunan, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta collapsed, Thursday 4 January, at 17.22 WIB.

Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Disaster Data Center, Mohamad Yohan, said the uninhabited building collapsed because of its old materials.

"That's right. There was a robih building in the Kadganan sub-district, South Jakarta," Yohan said in his statement, Thursday, January 4.

Yohan added that the building had been empty for a long time, no one occupied it. There were no casualties in the incident, only one motorbike was reported to have been hit.

Affected by 1 empty building, and 1 motorcycle, he said

Currently, BPBD TRC officers and 1 PPSU Unit have handled it. Losses reached Rp1.5 million.

"It is being handled by 1 TRC BPBD Unit, 1 PPSU Unit. The loss is IDR 1.5 million," he concluded.
