36 SPAM Project Pipes In East Lombok Burned, NTB Prosecutor's Office Searches The Cause
NTB - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) is tracing the cause of 36 pipes for the water treatment plant project and the South Coast Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) distribution network caught fire in East Lombok.
"So, we are still investigating the cause through the PPS team," said NTB Attorney General's Intelligence Assistant I Wayan Riana in Mataram, NTB, Thursday, January 4, confiscated by Antara.
In an effort to investigate, the Strategic Development Security Team (PPS) is currently gathering information from the NTB Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center as the party in charge of implementing the project worth Rp. 151 billion.
"We first collect information about how many items burned at the location, collect field data first," he said.
This investigation is part of the function of the PPS team in preventing all forms of threats, disturbances, obstacles, and challenges that occur in the implementation of strategic projects.
The project with funds sourced from the World Bank is included in the PPS team's escort category of national strategic support projects.

Previously, the government targeted that the project to meet clean water needs in the southern Lombok Regency would be completed by the end of 2023.
However, there was turmoil in the community who rejected project work so that work continued in 2024.
This Southern Coast SPAM pipe caught fire at around 10.30 WITA. The location of the incident was in the Borok Lelet area, North Langang Nangka Village, Masbagik District, East Lombok Regency.
From the results of the field inspection, the police noted that 36 pipes measuring 10 inch were burned. The positions of dozens of pipes that piled up at one location are under the bridge across the river.
