JAKARTA - The National Campaign Team (TKN) for Young Voters (Fanta) Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka assesses that there will be many advantages for Indonesia if the 2024 presidential election takes place in one round.

Deputy Commander of the Fanta Team TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Anggawira explained the benefits obtained first in terms of the economy. According to him, the government can save the state budget of IDR 27 trillion, with details of IDR 17 trillion for the General Election Commission (KPU) and IDR 10 trillion for security supports and other costs.

Another economic advantage is to prevent political instability and economic independence, especially in terms of investment.

"Of course there are many advantages from the implementation of the presidential election in one round. Apart from the fiscal aspect that I call, another benefit is to avoid ideological tensions that can politicize religion," he said in Jakarta, Thursday, January 4.

With these various advantages, plus the belief that Prabowo-Gibran will win the 2024 presidential election, Anggawira believes that President Joko Widodo's government program can be continued immediately so as to create continuity in the economy and national development.

Even so, Anggawira realized that all candidate pairs wanted a one-round victory. But yes, he believes that Prabowo-Gibran is the most realistic presidential and vice-presidential candidate option to realize a one-round win.

"According to the electability data carried out by a number of survey institutions, Prabowo-Gibran is a realistic couple to win in one round," said the General Chairperson of the National Young Entrepreneurs Volunteer (Repnas).

Based on data, in the last three surveys released in December 2023, Prabowo-Gibran has always excelled above 40 percent of the other two pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates.

First, in the results of the LSI Denny JA survey, for example, Prabowo-Gibran received 43.3 percent of the votes. Second, the results of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) survey recorded Prabowo-Gibran with 43.7 percent of the votes.
