Prabowo Values Neoliberal Capitalism Is Not Suitable To Be Implemented In Indonesia

JAKARTA - Presidential candidate (candidate) number 2, Prabowo Subianto assesses that the neoliberal capitalism is not suitable for an economic system in Indonesia. According to him, those adopted in the country are the Pancasila economic system.

Prabowo conveyed that the Pancasila Economic system is rooted in Pancasila as the philosophy of the Indonesian nation and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia (UUD 1945), especially in Article 33 and Article 34.

The Pancasila Economic System, which is the best merger of the capitalism system and the best of the socialism system, and which has its roots in Indonesia's experience as a country that has been colonized for a long time and has risen to want independence, and wants to live a prosperous life," Prabowo said in Jakarta, Thursday, January 4.

He continued, the blueprint for national development is quite clearly stated in the 1945 Constitution, starting from the opening and philosophy of the nation's economy.

"It is very clear in Article 33 and Article 34 of the 1945 Constitution that the Indonesian economy must focus on kinship. It is very clear. I think the point is that," said Prabowo.

Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution mandates that the Indonesian economy be built based on kinship, then production branches that are important are controlled by the state. Finally, in paragraph (3), the earth, water, and natural wealth of Indonesia are controlled by the state for the prosperity of the people.

Then, Article 34 of the 1945 Constitution mandates that among them the poor and neglected children are cared for by the state. The article also orders the state to develop a social security system for all people and empower weak and incapable communities in accordance with human dignity. Finally, Article 34 of the 1945 Constitution ordered the state to provide proper health services and public service facilities.

Therefore, Prabowo is determined to realize the nation's transformation strategy if he is elected in the 2024 General Election.

"The true independence is where there should be no poverty, no hunger, no malnutrition among our people," Prabowo said.

However, the attempt to get to that was not an instant matter, because it needed continuity from the achievements of the previous government.

"Nation-building is a decades-old process, maybe even hundreds of years, which is clear we are 78 years to 100 years. With that as a basis, it means we have to build on what Indonesian leaders have built earlier from time to time," Prabowo said.

He explained that the legacy of development from the presidents since the independence period to this day is the foundation.

"Fondations for us can really take off, for a prosperous country, a modern country, a prosperous country," he concluded.
