Emma Raducanu Will Prove Her Words When Returning To Appear After A Year's Absence
JAKARTA - Emma Raducanu has finally returned to the field after a year of absence due to an ankle and leg injury. He has appeared in Auckland Classic 2024 or ASB Classic 2024 on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
As is known, Raducanu had to pull out after a wrist injury in the second round of the same tournament last year. The injury kept him out throughout 2023.
Now, he has recovered after undergoing surgery on both his wrists and feet. His appearance at ASB Classic 2024 was also extraordinary.
The 21-year-old beat Romanian tennis player Elen-Gabriela Ruse in the round of 32. He won in three sets with a score of 6-3, 4-6, and 7-5.
When he decided to return to appearance, Raducanu was very confident that he would play better than before getting injured.
"Physically, in the last few weeks of training, I hit the ball very well."
"I think I'm a better tennis player than before the break. People around, everyone can see that I practice and play really well."

The former US Open champion stepped into the last 16 of ASB Classic 2024. He will meet Ukrainian tennis player, Elina Svitolina on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
Elina Svitolina won the last 32 WTA 250 tournaments after beating Caroline Wozniacki with two straight sets, 6-4 and 6-3.
Emma Raducanu's comeback is certainly awaited by many people. ASB Classic 2024 is a place to prove the words of the British tennis player that he is full of confidence and better than ever.
