Ignoring The Flood, Personnel Of Samapta Metro Police Continues To Evacuate The Body Of COVID-19
JAKARTA - The Special Team for Monitoring COVID-19 bodies from the Directorate of Crime Prevention Unit (Samapta) of Metro Jaya Police evacuated the bodies of COVID-19 patients who were trapped in floods for burial.
"The body was buried in Bambu Apus," said Director of Samapta Metro Jaya Police, Grand Commissioner Gatot Haribowo, as quoted by Antara, Jakarta, Saturday, February 20.
Gatot explained that the evacuation process took place in residential areas affected by the flood in East Jakarta. The evacuation process was led by the supervisory officer, Second Police Inspector Nuryasin.
The evacuation process was carried out by six Samapta Directorate personnel and three Policewoman personnel, assisted by Fire Fighter (Damkar) and Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol-PP) personnel. The team used complete personal protective equipment (PPE) to break through the flood.

Gatot also said that the Metro Jaya Police, especially the Special Team for the Monitoring of COVID-19 Bodies from the Directorate of Samapta will continue to provide the best service to the community in all situations.
He added that the number of bodies of Covid-19 patients handled by the Special Team for the Monitoring of COVID-19 bodies from the Directorate of Samapta as of Saturday counted 330 bodies.
The Directorate of Samapta (Ditsamapta) of Metro Jaya Police has prepared personnel to help manage the bodies of COVID-19 who died at home.
One of the goals of Metro Jaya Police to involve itself in managing the corpse is to prevent social conflicts, for example, the refusal of residents to bury the bodies of either those who are still patients under surveillance and those who have tested positive for Covid-19.
