PGN Achieves Awards As The Best Commercial Business Entity In Indonesia
JAKARTA - The achievement of the performance and consistency of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) in running natural gas trading businesses so far has provided positive results at the end of 2023. The title as the Best Commercial Business Entity was awarded to PGN on the night of the peak of the 2023 BPH Migas award on Friday, December 29.
This award is given because it is based on the assessment criteria set by BPH Migas with parameters such as timeliness in terms of payment and business reporting, compliance with business licenses, good amount of contribution and cooperation in carrying out the role of business actors towards regulators. This shows PGN's commitment in carrying out business commercialization still follows the applicable governance rules and is cooperative with its stakeholders.
Then from BPH Migas also gave his appreciation to PGN as a Jargas Supporting Business Entity RPJMN (National Medium-Term Development Plan). As determined by the Government, the construction of gas networks or city gas networks is part of a national strategic plan to encourage the use of natural gas in Indonesia, especially the household sector. This aims to support the Government in easing the burden of subsidies in the APBN.
"We would like to thank BPH Migas for the appreciation given tonight. PGN and BPH Migas are partners who work together in supporting the realization of natural gas distribution in Indonesia. Hopefully this collaboration can continue to be sustainable and even better in the future in order to realize reliable national natural gas commercialization and infrastructure," said Director of Infrastructure and Technology Harry Budi Sidharta, quoted Tuesday, January 2.

To date, PGN has managed 834,165 Home Connections (SR) spread across 73 cities/regencies. The source of funding for the construction of this jargas consists of government APBN funds and PGN internal funds. In 2024, PGN remains consistent with its commitment to carry out the assignments given by the Government in building gas networks towards a target of 2.5 million SR.
In addition, on the same occasion, PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) and PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia (Transgasindo) as subsidiaries of PGN also received awards in the category of the Best Gas Transport Business Entity through Pipelines with the rank of each in the first and second positions.
For this achievement, PGN as Pertamina Gas Subholding hopes that it will continue to be trusted by its stakeholders in carrying out its role as the main provider of national natural gas in society. Then also a form of cooperation that is useful and supports can be realized more broadly so that PGN can play an active role in supporting industrial competitiveness and sustainable national economic growth.
