MNC Group's Objection To Broadcast Third Debate, TKN Prabowo-Gibran Asks KPU To Combine Television Stations

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Grace Natalie, confirmed that her party objected that the broadcast of the presidential candidate debate which will be held on January 7 was fully held by the MNC Group. It is known that the third debate is planned to be broadcasted by MNC TV, iNews, RCTI, and GTV.TKN objected to the MNC Group owned by Harry Tanoesoedibjo, who is the general chairman of the Perindo Party, as well as a political party supporting candidate pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.Grace asked the General Elections Commission (KPU) to combine television stations so as not to be dominated by the MNC Group. As in the debate between the two alleys, the TransCorp and Kompas Group were held."It feels better to reconsider by the KPU. Maybe there is a balance, there is a more diverse combination so that the organizers are not all MNC networks,’’ said Grace, Tuesday, January 2.The deputy chairman of the PSI Board of Trustees emphasized that his party did not reject MNC Group as the organizer. However, Grace assessed that it would be better if MNC was not a single organizer so as not to cause wild speculation."So it's better to mix it. Instead of forming polemics in the future, maybe it's better for the KPU to reconsider," said Grace.Previously, TKN Secretary Prabowo-Gibran Nusron Wahid revealed that his party had sent a letter of objection to the KPU regarding the rejection of the MNC Group because it was considered to dominate the broadcast of the third presidential election debate which will be held on January 7."We have sent a request to the KPU, so that in one debate the organizers will not be monopolized by a TV group whose owners are the same and affiliated parties," said Nusron, Monday, January 1.
TKN proposes that one of the organizing media or broadcasting a third debate be exchanged for television media outside the MNC Group. As a MNC Group, it is owned by a political figure who is currently a supporter of one of the candidate pairs."Departing from these various considerations, we submitted a request to the KPU so that the organizers were exchanged so that they would not be in the same group, in order to avoid the conflict of interest," said Nusron.
