JAKARTA - The year 2024 will be a busy year for automotive companies around the world to launch a number of new models. Citroen, a French vehicle brand, intends to expand the lineup of electric vehicles (EVs) in India by immediately presenting Aircross's EC3.

Reporting from Gaadi Waadi, Sunday, December 31, the SUV will be built on the same modular as the pure combustion engine (ICE) version, which can also accommodate environmentally friendly technology.

Thus, this will help expand the domestic portfolio of the French automotive company and this will become another electric car offering after the standard eC3 has started its sales for a long time.

Chances are, Citroen eC3 Aircross will have similarities with the ICE version which offers a wide range of seating configurations. This electric SUV can get a similar seating layout but it all depends on the packaging and the placement of the battery.

Furthermore, the medium-sized SUV will be equipped with an electric motor capable of producing up to 57 dk of power with a battery capacity of 29.2 kWh. However, it is hoped that eC3 Aircross will get greater travel distance and power due to its wider dimension compared to eC3.

With the eC3 model priced at 1,161 million rupees to 1,299 million rupees (around Rp. 214.6 million to Rp. 240.2 million), it is likely that eC3 Aircross will have a higher price by offering a spacious space.

Unfortunately, the information obtained regarding this model is still very limited. However, Citroen has confirmed that it will launch four new models in India in 2024.
