AMIN National Team: Cak Imin Salah Calls To Build 40 New Cities Equivalent To Jakarta
The National Team for Winning Anies Baswedan-Muhamin Iskandar (Timnas AMIN) said that vice presidential candidate Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin mistakenly said that he would build 40 new cities equivalent to Jakarta.
"So maybe Cak Imin said it was wrong to say 40 new cities, which should be development and increasing 40 cities that already exist throughout Indonesia," said spokesman for the AMIN national team, Sulfikar Amir, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, December 29.
According to him, urban problems in Indonesia are very complex, and Cak Imin has not had time to explain what is meant, so the program seems to be building a new city, even though the program in question is to increase the 40 cities in Indonesia.
Sulfikar said that during the vice presidential debate, Friday, December 22, Cak Imin made the wrong idea of 40 new cities equivalent to Jakarta, because the time given during the debate was also very limited and the candidate number 1 did not have time to explain what was meant.
"And this is a program that we will do in the next five to 10 years," he said.
Sulfikar explained that the 40 city improvement program will be accompanied by 14 priority cities for economic growth centers, especially outside Java.

According to him, the budget used to improve these cities is taken from the budget allocated for the development of the State Capital (IKN).
"We will allocate the budget used for IKN to be moved or realized to upgrade 14 cities outside Java. This program will be an effort to equalize growth more effectively because there are 14 new points that we lift, compared to one point in the middle of the forest and we don't know how to revive them yet," he said.
