Deputy Minister Tiko Calls The Assets Owned By 7 SOEs Disbanded Will Be Sold
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of SOEs Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said assets belonging to seven SOEs that were officially disbanded today would later be sold.
The sale of these assets is part of the process of completing the disbandment of the state-owned company.
The sale of these assets will take one to two years.
Tiko, Kartika's nickname, explained that the most important disbandment of SOEs was the issuance of Government Regulations (PP).
As soon as PP came out, he continued, the asset sales process was handed over to the curator.
"For us and the Ministry of Finance, it is important until the PP comes out. After PP comes out then to the curator," he said at a press conference, at Danareksa Tower, Jakarta, Friday, December 29.
Tiko said, the process of disbanding the seven SOEs would depend on the speed in the sale of their assets.
However, Tiko estimates that the asset sales process will take 1-2 years.
"Well, this curator actually depends on the speed of selling assets. Because it can't be estimated but it may be 1-2 years of average, because he has to sell his assets," he said.
After the assets owned by the seven SOEs are successfully sold, continued Tiko, the proceeds from the sellers will be distributed to those who are entitled.
"Then the assets are divided into creditors and holders of all kinds of obligations," he explained.
Previously it was reported, PPA President Director M Teguh Wirahadikusumah said that the process of disbanding seven SOEs was through courts and the issuance of Government Regulations (PP).
