Earthquake M 5.5 Pangandaran Damaged The KUA Office And Collapsed The Wall Of A Resident's House
A 5.5 magnitude earthquake (M) centered in Pangandaran damaged the Cipatujah Religious Affairs Office (KUA) building and residents' houses in Salawu, Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java.
"The worst damage was experienced by the Cipatujah KUA building," said Head of the Tasikmalaya Regency Disaster Preparedness Cadet (Tagana), Jembar Adisetya, Thursday, December 28, confiscated by Antara.
In addition to the KUA Cipatujah building, it was also reported that the houses of residents in Sukarasa Village, Salawu District, whose walls collapsed during the earthquake.
"We also received reports that a house with walls collapsed in Salawu," he said.
He conveyed, after receiving information that there was damage caused by the earthquake, his staff immediately went to the scene to help the affected residents.
"Our members have rushed to the location," he said.

The head of the Cipatujah Police, Iptu Tono Suherman, stated that the damaged KUA building, which is the roof of the building from the collapsed light steel frame, as well as the cracked walls.
The collapsed building did not cause any casualties. "The Cipatujah KUA office collapsed, damaged items were hit, fortunately there were no casualties," he added.
An official report from www.bmkg.go.id said the M 5.5 earthquake occurred in the south of West Java, Thursday, December 28 at 05.43 WIB. Lindu has no potential for a tsunami.
The earthquake point occurred in the southern region of Garut-Tasikmalaya or precisely at sea at a distance of 94 km southwest of Pangandaran Regency at a depth of 41 km.
