Brazil Threatened To Be Crossed Out By FIFA From All Competitions, Including Copa America
JAKARTA - The World Football Federation (FIFA) has stated that it will exclude all members of the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) from international competitions. This emerged after Ednaldo Rodrigues was removed from the position of President of CBF.
In his letter to CBF, FIFA said they would not tolerate any form of government interference. This letter was sent by FIFA to CBF after the Rio de Janeiro Court removed Ednaldo Rodrigues from the post of CBF President and forced a new presidential election in 30 days.
"The association of FIFA members must manage their affairs independently and without inappropriate influence from any third party," the FIFA wrote to CBF quoted by Marca on Tuesday, December 26.
FIFA also does not want to admit the mandate of the interim CBF president, Jose Perdiz, who insisted on holding a new leadership election in the near future.
If the FIFA rules are not heeded, it is clear that CBF will be punished. Where this will involve the entire age group of the Brazilian national team, both men and women, plus Brazilian clubs because they are prohibited from appearing in any competition under the umbrella of FIFA.
In fact, in the near future, the Brazilian national team will appear at the 2024 Copa America event in the United States in June-July 2024. In addition, if CBF is sentenced, the Samba team will also not be able to appear in the 2026 World Cup Qualification.

If CBF is eventually frozen by the FIFA body, then CBF will lose all of its membership rights immediately and until the suspension is lifted by FIFA,
"This also means that CBF, representative teams, and clubs no longer have the right to participate in any international competition or competition when frozen," the FIFA said in an official statement.
Regarding the current CBF situation, FIFA has ordered its representatives to make visits to Brazil in early January 2024. This was taken in order to hold talks with involved parties to find solutions.
