In Order Not To Be Congested, The Central Jakarta City Government Urges The Congregation Of The Non-Vehicle Parking Church On The Shoulder Of The Road

JAKARTA - The church congregation that will hold the Christmas Eve Mass is advised by the Central Jakarta City Government not to park vehicles in any place, because it has an impact on traffic jams.

"We urge all congregants to drop out their vehicles, so they are not parked in an inappropriate place," said Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma when confirmed, Sunday, December 24.

According to Dhany, worship activities and traffic can be smooth if every vehicle that only takes passengers at Jakarta churches does not stop carelessly.

"As much as possible, we reduce the placement of vehicles in road bodies. So we urge them to park in a place that matches the parking lot," he said.

In addition, the vehicles of each congregation also do not park carelessly on the road. In addition, the police appealed to church congregants not to carry private vehicles while celebrating Christmas because of limited parking spaces in a number of churches in DKI Jakarta.

The Polda Metro Jaya ensures that 1,807 churches celebrate Christmas 2023 in DKI Jakarta and the surrounding jurisdiction. A total of 4,041 joint personnel are alerted in Operation Lilin Jaya 2023. The joint personnel consist of the Police, TNI, and local governments, and other competent elements.
