Senen Police Chief Urges Travelers Not To Use Jewelry While Crowded At Senen Station

JAKARTA - Dozens of joint officers from the Senen Police and the Central Jakarta Metro Police have begun guarding the flow of the 2024 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) homecoming at Senen Station, Central Jakarta, Friday, December 22.

Senen Police Chief AKP Bambang Santoso reminded travelers to strictly maintain luggage, it is not easy to get acquainted with newly known people, it is not easy to receive food and drinks.

"In addition, avoid jostling and not wearing striking jewelry, always stay alert," he told reporters, Friday, December 22.

There were 25 joint officers who carried out security starting from the Polsek, Polres, Brimob and TNI.

"Officers in uniform and not in uniform are also tasked with providing a sense of security to travelers," he said.

AKP Bambang said that his party had also established security and service posts. Security posts are placed at intersection five and services are inside Senen Station.

"Posko was established to provide services for residents who want to go home. This can also prevent crimes such as theft, hypnosis and pickpockets," he said.
