Anies Promises To Bring An Integrated Transportation System In The Style Of Jakarta To Regions If He Wins The 2024 Presidential Election

Presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan promises that a connected public transportation system such as in Jakarta will be brought to other areas in Indonesia.

"We will build in integrated public transportation cities," said Anies when discussing with Bina Bangsa University students, in Serang, Banten, Thursday, December 21, which was confiscated by Antara.

Anies said this when asked about public transportation in Serang, Banten, which is currently still very lacking and makes residents prefer to use private vehicles.

According to him, the integration of transportation modes is necessary in cities, considering that the number of vehicles is increasing day by day so that it can cause traffic jams. For this reason, it is necessary to have connected public transportation.

He recounted his track record when he was Governor of DKI Jakarta. During his leadership, the connection to public transportation modes could be realized so that from the end of the Jakarta area to the other end it only costs Rp. 10,000.

"Public transportation will be used by residents if it is affordable at a price. Otherwise, it will not be increased," he said.

Before public transportation in Jakarta was connected, said Anies, there were a lot of public transportation and all of them served individually so that it was difficult for passengers to get cheap transportation, and that made there were not many passengers.

However, after the integration of transportation, currently the number of users of public transportation per day in Jakarta can reach one million people.

"In addition, regionally affordable is also a consideration for passengers, and this is the result of a study, which states a maximum of 500 meters from residential areas, because the distance is the will of people to walk," he said.
