JAKARTA Mixed doubles is a sector that has absolutely no representatives in the list of the top 10 BWF rankings at the end of 2023.
There are not many changes for the Indonesian representatives in the ranking list after the closing of the 2023 BWF World Tour Finals season after being held last week.
There are six representatives from four sectors competing in the event who are still in the top 10 rankings.
The first two representatives are the men's singles Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Jonatan Christie. Currently Ginting fills the fourth position, followed by Jonathan, who is ranked one place.
When appearing at the 2023 BWF World Tour Finals, the two players had different fates. Anthony only reached the group stage, while Jonathan was able to reach the semifinals.
The three singles currently top three on top of Ginting are Viktor Axelsen, Kodai Naraoka, and Li Shi Feng.
Meanwhile, in the women's singles, Indonesia has Gregoria Mariska Tunjung. The 2017 Junior World Champion is currently ranked seventh in the world.
