JAKARTA - Garuda Indonesia President Director Irfan Setiaputra opened his voice about himself being reported by the Garuda Indonesia employee union to the police.

Meanwhile, Irfan was reported to be related to the alleged crime related to the termination of the truncation of the membership of the Garuda Indonesia Employee Union (Sekarga) from employee salaries.
"The policy to stop cutting membership contributions from employee salaries is an effort by the Company to encourage the independence of Employee Unions to be more independent in managing their membership contributions, including in order to maintain accountability and credibility aspects of all its members," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, December 20.
Irfan also said that the termination of the union membership contribution cut assistance is expected to minimize the potential for disputes over the direct charge of union membership contributions from employee salaries.
Furthermore, Irfan emphasized, it is necessary to understand that there is no interest for the company to intervene in the management of the union management, including related to employee membership at the Employee Union.
With this policy, continued Irfan, it is hoped that union members can make direct payments, which of course can be done easily and quickly by each union member.
"I can make sure that the Company pays serious attention to efforts to maintain strong industrial relations with the Workers Union. We also continue to maintain this commitment during the restructuring process some time ago to ensure that employee interests can continue to be put forward," said Irfan.
