The provisions for the term of office are based on the old Constitutional Court Law (UU), namely Law Number 7 of 2020 concerning the Constitutional Court."Why one year? Yesterday we were waiting for what happened in the Constitutional Court Law (the new one), especially the composition of the Constitutional Court, and then we also waited for it, it turned out that the Constitutional Court Law was not continued. So, we used the old Constitutional Court Law, Law Number 7 of 2020, so that membership remains for three people with a term of office will be determined through the Constitutional Court regulations," said Enny. The permanent formation of the MKMK is in accordance with Article 27 letter a of the Constitutional Court Law which mandates the formation of the MKMK is actually a permanent one.
"Because the two MKMKs that were formed previously were MKMK ad hoc, because we have not prepared for a permanent one, and now thank God according to what the chairman of the Constitutional Court (Suhartoyo) emphasized when he was sworn in last time," said Enny.
