Emphasizes Special Account Notes For Campaign Funds According To Rules, Bawaslu: Don't Use The Name 'God's Dream'
JAKARTA - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) has asked all participants of the 2024 General Election to use Special Campaign Fund Accounts (RKDK) in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
"We ask political parties participating in the election to obey and comply in using Special Campaign Fund Accounts (RKDK) such as receiving and spending campaign funds," said Bawaslu Chairman Rahmat Bagja at a press conference 'The results of Bawaslu Supervision during the 2024 Election Campaign Stages' in Jakarta, Tuesday, December 19, confiscated by Antara.
Bagja emphasized that the appeal was issued after the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) found allegations of unnatural transactions for the 2024 General Election campaign.
All political parties participating in the election, including candidates involved, are expected to be diligent in consolidating to record all incoming and outgoing fund activities for the use of election interests, with the aim that similar incidents do not happen again in the future.
"Later on January 7, the initial report of (suspicious) campaign funds could be a problem, if then the account movement of election funds is problematic," said Bagja.
According to him, all participants must also record all transaction statements clearly, in detail, and not use suspicious anonymity, including transparency of the names of donors and the amount of value in accordance with the provisions.
No later there will be a 'Hamba Allah' (name in account statement) that is not allowed. In PKPU it is also not allowed, there must be a name of a contributor and others," he said.
In addition, Bagja stated that Bawaslu is to handle any violations that occur during the election period, such as violations of campaign funds. As for other types of violations, according to him, it needs to be adjusted and coordinated with related parties.
"We have also conveyed that if there are indications of a violation of the election crime related to campaign funds, then we will forward it to law enforcement officials, especially police friends and prosecutors. If it relates to campaign funds, we will convey to the Gakkum center to coordinate and also monitor," said Bagja.

Previously, PPATK Head Ivan Yustiavandana said transaction reports allegedly related to money laundering in the 2024 election campaign increased 100 percent in Semester II 2023.
"We see transactions related to the massive election report to PPATK. The increase is more than 100 percent. In cash financial transactions, suspicious financial transactions, we will investigate this," he said on Thursday, December 14.
PPATK has found several campaign activities without movement of transactions in the RKDK.
Although he did not mention the names of candidates for legislative or party members suspected of using funds from the proceeds of criminal acts for the campaign, PPATK admitted that it had reported this allegation to the General Election Commission (KPU) and Bawaslu.
This is because the proceeds that are allegedly used to fund elections consist of various criminal acts, one of which is illegal mining, with a transaction value of trillions of rupiah.
