Dear Victim, The Barbuk Curanmor Secured By The Bandung Police Is Invited To Be Taken

A total of three cars and 26 motorbikes of evidence of motor vehicle theft (curanmor) in Bandung Regency were returned to the victims.

Bandung Police Chief Kombes Pol Kusworo Wibowo said the vehicle barbuk was the result of a one-month operation with nine suspects being arrested.

"Please for residents who report on the theft of their motorized vehicles, they can come to the Bandung Police to pick them up," said Kusworo when revealing the theft case at the Bandung Police Headquarters, Tuesday, December 19, which was confiscated by Antara.

Kusworo explained, for people who want to take their lost vehicle, the victims are required to show proof of ownership to the Bandung Police.

He added that his staff would also return the stolen vehicles to their respective victims' homes if they were constrained by time to take them to the Bandung Police.

"Those who are constrained by work, then we will carry out motorized vehicles as a result of this crime to the homes of each victim," he said.

Furthermore, he said, during the one month operation the police managed to arrest a gang of specialists in theft with violence against their victims who often act in the Greater Bandung area.

He explained that the nine perpetrators were arrested after officers developed a theft case based on the development of various loss reports.

"This is thanks to the efforts of the Bandung Police Satreskrim, Ciparay Police, and Baleendah Police, which we have seen together are 26 two-wheeled and three-wheeled motorized vehicles consisting of various brands," said Kusworo.

For their actions, the perpetrators will be charged with Article 363 concerning theft with a maximum penalty of 7 years in prison and for perpetrators of violent theft, they will receive a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison.

In addition, Kusworo appealed to people who want to travel back and forth during the Christmas and New Year 2024 holidays to protect their belongings and vehicles at home properly in order to prevent acts of theft.

"For residents who leave their homes in the context of holidays to take care of the extra for those who leave their homes are empty," he said.
