1,450 Doses Of Vaccine Enter Bandung City, Health Workers Are Priority
JAKARTA - The Bandung City Health Office (Dinkes) has again received 290 vials of vaccine or 1,450 doses to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in its area.
"We have received 1,450 doses of vaccine from the West Java Health Office after submitting it in early December," said Head of the Bandung City Health Office, Anhar Hadian in Bandung City, Tuesday, December 19, confiscated by Antara.
Anhar explained that the vaccine will be prioritized first for health workers (nakes) who have not received the complete COVID-19 vaccine.
"In accordance with the direction of the Ministry of Health, we prioritize health workers who have not fully vaccinated," he said.
He added that the next priority is for the elderly and those who have comorbidities to get the vaccine, after the vaccination process for health workers is met.
He said that his party would again submit additional vaccines to the West Java Health Office to facilitate the general public in order to complete the dose of COVID-19 vaccination, in an effort to anticipate a spike in cases of transmission during the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year holidays.
"After that, only the people who are incomplete, so there are stages. The plan is that we will propose again. We want 1,000 vials of vaccine, because it seems that many people have also asked us," said Anhar.

The Bandung City Health Office, he continued, has also given instructions to hospitals to provide 10 percent of isoliation rooms for patients exposed to COVID-19.
"If the inspection is already underway, our labs are ready to accept that the tracing service is also running. Even though there is actually no technical direction from the Ministry of Health, it seems that it will take advantage of the isolation rooms that are already in their respective homes," he said.
To avoid the risk of contracting COVID-19, Anhar asked people who are sick to wear masks and stop outdoor activities and maintain body condition by implementing Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS).
"Be vigilant, if not necessary, avoid crowds in accordance with directions from the leadership to avoid unnecessary crowds, but don't panic too much," he said.
