Ministry Of Agriculture Disburses IDR 11 Billion For Construction Of 60 Irrigations In Bengkulu

BENGKULU - The Bengkulu Province Horticultural and Plantation Food Crops Service (DTPHP) said it received a budget of IDR 11 billion for the construction of 60 irrigation network points in the area.

The disbursement of funds for the construction of 60 irrigation comes from the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) through the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) in 2024.

Previously, in early 2023 as many as 57 farmer groups in all Bengkulu areas received the tertiary irrigation network rehabilitation program in rice fields. "This year there are 57 farmer groups who have accepted this program and have been approved by the ministry based on its priority criteria," said Helmi. Regarding the quota of farmer groups who received the rehabilitation program, it will increase if other farmer groups propose assistance for the program during 2023. The irrigation network rehabilitation program is a program carried out by the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture with the implementation of guidance carried out by the local government. From this amount, the budget plotted by the Ministry of Agriculture for Bengkulu Province is IDR 4.2 billion. It is known that the farmer group receiving irrigation network rehabilitation program is a priority scale because irrigation is categorized as heavily damaged.
