Jakarta - 2023 is a scintillating year for the automotive industry, especially in the electric motorcycle sector. Manufacturers are competing to present electric motors with high performance, wide battery range, and stunning designs. Here are five VOI versions of electric motors introduced in 2023 and some will enter the market in 2024:
Evoke 6061-GT has been named the furthest-range electric motor introduced this year. The cruise motor will be released in 2024 in the United States, offering extreme comfort, long-distance, high speed, and instant acceleration. The 29.8 kWh battery allows a distance of up to 410 miles in the city and 308 miles of combination in the city/toll road. Fast charging takes just 30 minutes using a 90 kW dc fast charging or 12 hours via a 3.3 kW AC stop.
The Verge TS Pro California Edition debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2023 and is available for pre-orders in the United States with deliveries in 2024. This Superbike features a striking orange poppie design. Equipped with a hubless electric motor integrated into the rear wheels, this motor provides a large torque directly to the rear tire. The 20.2 kWh battery gives a range of 217 miles or 394 km to within the city and 124 miles or 199 km to the inner combination of the city and toll roads. Fast charging only takes 35 minutes, with an impressive range of up to 350 km per charge.
Italian Lacama volt is a high-performance electric motorcycle that can be adjusted according to driver preferences. Introduced at EUMA 2023, Lacama is equipped with an Axial Flux PMS electric motor that sends power to the rear wheel through the carbon belt. With the Tazzari EV liquid battery and BMS Tazzari EV technology, Lacama has a maximum range of 160 miles or 257 km. Fast charging takes only 40 minutes to a capacity of 80 percent, while other features include a 5-inch TFT screen, ABS, traction control, and a keyless system.
Zero DSR 2024, which was updated from Zero Motorcycles, is an excellent choice. Exhibited at EICMA, the motor is equipped with an upgraded powertrain and a lithium-ion Z-Force battery of 15.6 kWh. With this capacity, this motor can reach a maximum distance of 155 miles or 249 km. The Z-Force Li-Ion Intelligent Integrated battery has charging time from 0 to 100 percent within 9.8 hours, at a price of 19.995 US dollars or around Rp. 310 million.
