Mozilla Adds Dozens Of New Extensions To Firefox Android
JAKARTA Mozilla announced that it has added dozens of new extensions to the Android version of Firefox. With this addition, Firefox Android now has more than 450 extensions.
As Mozilla explains in its official blog, all these extensions are the work of developers. They can create and issue extensions freely and users can install them easily.
For the Vice President of Engineering Firefox Vicky Chin, the freedom given to these developers is a form of support for the open extension ecosystem on mobile. What's more, Mozilla is the only browser that has this capability.
"We are very pleased to be able to bring this experience to Firefox for Android because we are the only Android browser that supports an open extension ecosystem," Vicky said.

Although the extension on Firefox Android is almost 500, Mozilla plans to enable more extensions in the near future. Hopefully, users can find the various extensions they are looking for easily.
Mozilla first completed the construction of an open extension exosystem infrastructure on Android last August. Once completed, they continued to work closely with developers to test and create hundreds of compatible extensions.
Through this collaboration, Mozilla managed to add hundreds of extensions in just a few months. All of these extensions can be accessed through the Mozilla Firefox Add-On Store or the Addons.mozilla.org (AMO) website.
