Garut Hospital Provides Isolation Room To Anticipate Spike In COVID-19 Patients

GARUT - The Regional General Hospital (RSUD) of Dr. Slamet, Garut Regency, West Java, again provides isolation rooms with a temporary capacity of five beds to anticipate a spike in COVID-19 cases ahead of the year-end holidays."We have prepared five beds to anticipate the spike in COVID-19," said Head of Medical Services at Dr. Slamet Garut Hospital, Zaini Abdillah in Garut, Antara, Friday, December 15.He said the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak was still being watched out for, so his party needed to take anticipatory and quick treatment steps in the event of a surge in patients.According to him, currently five beds in the isolation room are sufficient as an anticipatory measure."In the event of an increase, we will take contingency steps, as is normal," said Zaini Abdillah.He conveyed that Dr. Slamet Garut Hospital also prepared health resources including medical personnel who had been trained, then facilities and infrastructure, as well as medical devices.Efforts to treat COVID-19 patients, he said, were confirmed according to procedures or the same as handling patients during an emergency for the COVID-19 outbreak in Garut Regency."The mechanism or handling procedure is the same as the previous handling of COVID-19," said Zaini Abdillah.Meanwhile, the Head of the Garut District Health Office, Leli Yuliani, stated that his party had also prepared a special treatment room at the puskesmas for handling COVID-19 patients.He conveyed that the anticipatory steps needed to be taken because during the Christmas and Lebaran holidays, COVID-19 cases often increase due to high community mobility.
"Now we are also submitting supplies of vaccines to the center, hopefully they will come soon," he said.
