JAKARTA - A motorcyclist named Siti Dwi Santika (40) suffered burns to his body after his motorbike crashed into a retail gasoline kiosk causing a devastating explosion on the edge of the Toll Road of Sarap Road, RT 03/04, West Cakung Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta on Friday, December 15, afternoon.
"Winston, the owner of the workshop, was patching a motorcycle tire, suddenly a female motorcyclist hit a workshop and retail gasoline, causing an explosion and causing a fire," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman.
At the time of the incident, the motorcyclist fell and suffered burns. The motorcyclist hit a retail gasoline seller's stall.
"The motorcyclist was burned and referred to the nearest clinic," he said.
Meanwhile, according to Siswanto (55), eyewitnesses said the fire began when a motorcyclist was passing near the scene.
Surprisingly, the driver actually hit a stall selling retail gasoline until his motorbike fell and then a fire broke out.
"The driver crashed into retail gasoline and the motorbike exploded and then the fire grew and then hit the building," he told reporters, Thursday, December 15.

After the fire grew, Siswanto, who was patching his motorbike tires at the location, panicked and asked local residents for help to then report the incident to the nearest Damkar Sector.
While waiting for the arrival of the fire department, Siswanto revealed that local residents looked panicked because there was still a woman who was known to be the wife of a rented resident trapped in a building.
"He said there was still more in the second floor (contract), her husband had already come down to save himself, his wife was not visible, it seems that there was still a trap on the second floor," he said.
