Gibran Continues To Monitor The Development Of COVID-19 In Solo
Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka continues to monitor the development of COVID-19 cases in Solo, Central Java, following the entry of a new variant of EG.5 or Eris into Indonesia.
"We will continue to monitor it," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, December 14.
Gibran said one of the things prepared was a health facility to provide services to COVID-19 patients. According to him, the services provided this time are the same as during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Yes, like before," he said.
However, he has not been able to confirm how many hospitals will be focused on treating COVID-19 patients.
"Later, yes, we will coordinate again," he said.
Although currently COVID-19 shows an increase in the number of cases, he said, the current variant is no longer as aggressive as it used to be. However, supervision is still carried out.

Previously, the Regional Secretary of Surakarta City, Budi Murtono, said that currently there is a Solo City resident who has been confirmed to have contracted COVID-19.
Budi said that the residents are currently undergoing self-isolation at their homes.
"There is one patient who is mild, has no symptoms. Currently undergoing self-isolation," he said.
In this regard, he appealed to the public to be vigilant and continue to apply the COVID-19 health protocol.
"We ask for the habit of during the COVID-19 pandemic to be re-established by the community," he said.
