BWF World Tour Finals 2023 Results: Fajar/Rian Open Road To Semifinals After Winning Over Kim/Anders
JAKARTA - Indonesian men's doubles, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, managed to pave the way to the semifinals of the 2023 BWF World Tour Finals.
The results were confirmed after they won two straight games against Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen.
On the second day of the BWF World Tour Finals 2023 match, Thursday, December 14, 2023, afternoon WIB, Fajar/Rian won two straight games with a score of 21-12 and 21-18.
The match, which was held at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Hangzhou, China, has been exciting since the beginning of the game.
Fajar/Rian sought points first with a quick attack at the beginning of the game. A calm appearance and good dominance made them able to lead 6-3 and continue until the score was 11-8 in the first interval.

After the break, it was Kim/Anders' turn to try to catch up by increasing the tempo of the game. However, their efforts did not produce much results because Fajar/Rian's advantage was not overtaken at 15-9.
Increasingly away, the Indonesian men's doubles were finally able to close the first game victory with a score of 21-12 through a slow ball push near the net.
Continuing to the second game, Fajar/Rian tried to regain momentum by winning 4-2. With a good strategy, both of them continued to excel until the number 7-2.

The combination of Fajar/Rian attacks was able to overwhelmed Kim/Anders, but this Danish representative was able to catch points until they approached 13-16.
Not staying silent, Fajar/Rian moved away again until the numbers were 19-14 and shot up to 21-18 to widen the ticket to the semifinals.
However, the success of Fajar/Rian was not able to be imitated by Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, Bagas/Fikri, and Apriyani/Fadia who appeared first.
The three Indonesian representatives lost to each opponent, except Apri/Fadia who decided to withdraw.
