Future at AS Roma is Almost Gone, Jose Mourinho: No Need to Think About It
JAKARTA - The future of AS Roma coach, Jose Mourinho, is almost over. The Portuguese coach has a contract that ends in June 2024.
Regarding that, Mourinho is relaxed and feels he doesn't have to worry about his future. The 60 year old coach has collaborated with AS Roma since June 2021.
2023 will be his third season with the Giallorossi. Under his guidance, Roma managed to win Europe in the 2021/2022 season by lifting the UEFA Conference League trophy.
The following season, Roma reached the Europa League final, but lost to Sevilla on penalties. So far in domestic competition, Roma's position is also considered safe because they are in fourth place in Serie A 2023/2024.
Roma have also pocketed tickets to the knockout rounds of the Europa League. This neat and stable record makes fans want Mourinho to stay for the sake of the team's better progress.

Regarding this request, Mourinho emphasized that there was no need to think because he already had a plan in his head.
“I don't need to think. "I have everything very clear in my head," said Mourinho in a press conference via TMW quoted Thursday, December 14 2023.
In order to persuade Mourinho to stay, Roma fans even unfurled poetic banners for the coach last weekend.
Even so, Mourinho feels that he does not need to receive this special treatment because according to him players are more worthy of support and praise.
“I can only thank the fans and it doesn't make me comfortable on the pitch. The team supports me on the pitch."
"Of course it makes me proud and makes me emotional, but it's something I don't like," Mourinho said.
“Don't do that to me. Teams that need to feel supported there. However, I thank them," he explained.
