In Order To Complete Toll Road Projects Until 2024, The Government Needs An Investment Of IDR 500 Trillion
JAKARTA - The government needs IDR 500 trillion so that the construction of toll road infrastructure continues until 2024.
This was stated by the Director General of Infrastructure Financing of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Herry Trisaputra Zuna.
"We can calculate, for example, toll road investment may be at Rp500 (trillion)," said Herry at the PUPR Ministry Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, December 13.
It is known, in the 2020-2024 RPJMN, that the investment needs for infrastructure development reached around Rp. 2,058 trillion. However, of that figure, the APBN can only fund around 30 percent or Rp. 623 trillion.
Thus, there is a funding gap of IDR 1,435 trillion or covers 70 percent of the total need.
Related to this, Herry said the amount of the Rp1,435 trillion budget gap had not changed. He then detailed the infrastructure sector included in the funding gap.
"If you also drink water, it's just how much is the KPBU investment. We want to start others, such as irrigation, dams on the progress. However, we used this figure as a trigger," he said.
Herry assessed that not only for toll roads, but there are a number of other sectors that require injections of investor funds outside the state budget. He said some of these sectors were said to have not received the realization of KPBU or only depended on the state budget.

"I see that drinking water, there is no sanitation yet KPBU. In the Water Resources (SDA) we have just prepared irrigation. Just preparation, no transactions. With the dam, our house will also be prepared," he said.
Furthermore, said Herry, projects at PUPR have their respective obstacles. One example is the toll road project which is often faced with land acquisition problems.
"It's different. If the dam needs land acquisition. The house needs land. It depends on the project. If the toll road is because it is elongated, it will be unique for him," he added.
