The journey began in Singapore with a lively release ceremony, followed to Malaysia with participants following the convoy with the media featuring IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6. In Bangkok, Thailand, IONIQ 5's innovative Vehicle to Load (V2L) technology turned cars into resources, providing electricity for outdoor lighting, music performances, mini cinemas, and impressive culinary experiences.
When the tour entered Cambodia, Fitra Eri, an influencer from Indonesia as well as an automotive expert, shared her interesting insights and gave her views on the great potential of electric vehicles in shaping the future of transportation. He said the tour gave unmatched comfort, eliminating anxiety about driving this car out of town.
"We are not worried but feel unmatched comfort during long-distance travel with IONIQ 5 across different national borders, as well as eliminating concerns about finding a charging station. We arrived at our destination with high enthusiasm, and resumed the next day's journey with a fully charged vehicle battery," said Fitra Eri.
In addition, the IONIQ 5 shows tremendous cost efficiency, with a total cost of only US$116 or around Rp1.8 million per car for the entire journey. This is about twice as cost-effective as internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
