13 Pills Belonging To South Bangka Officials Caught In Mataram Night Club Not Drugs But Antimual Drugs

MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB) received the results of a laboratory test of 13 pills belonging to a South Bangka Regency Government official with the initials AD who was caught in a raid at a nightclub in Mataram City on Saturday (9/12) night.

Director of the NTB Police Narcotics Investigation Kombes Pol. Deddy Supriadi in Mataram, Tuesday, said that his party received the results of the test from the Center for Drug and Food Supervisory (BBPOM) in Mataram City.

"After testing to BBPOM, there are two types of drugs or pills or tablets, the first is red and the other is green," said Deddy as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 12.

For red pills, he said, it is an antimual drug that contains a chemical called dyphenhydramine.

"So, Diphenhydramineini is a drug for antimuals, not narcotics or those containing MDMA (methylendioxy metamphetamine) compounds or ecstasy," he said.

Likewise with green pills, he said, are anti-mual drugs with the content of metokloplopramid, and BBPOM has confirmed that the drug does not contain narcotics.

"Based on the results of the BBPOM Maka test, we will then conduct an internal case title to provide legal certainty for the alleged DA perpetrator," he said.

Deddy said this by referring to the Regulation of the Head of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Kerkabareskrim) of the National Police Number 1 of 2022 concerning standard operating procedures for carrying out criminal investigations.

"So, with the results of the test from BBPOM earlier, a case was held with the results of DA's case, the investigation was stopped because there was not enough evidence or there was no drug suspected of containing ecstasy," he said.

With this result, Deddy emphasized that the NTB Police had released the DA, which previously underwent security in the temporary detention cell of the NTB Police's Narcotics Directorate.
