Ready To Face The Debate Of Presidential And Vice Presidential Candidates, TKN Ensures Prabowo-Gibran Is Immune From A Negative Campaign
Deputy Chairperson of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Habiburokhman confirmed that pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, is ready to face the debate for the first presidential and vice presidential candidates held by the Indonesian KPU on December 12.
"Ahead of the inaugural debate on December 12, we make sure the Prabowo-Gibran pair are immune from negative campaigns and slander," Habiburokhman told reporters, Saturday, December 9.
The Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR said that the two main menus of negative campaigns and black framing that are often launched to discredit Prabowo-Gibran were about the decision of the Constitutional Court and accusations or slander of human rights violations.
However, Habiburokhman emphasized that the Constitutional Court's decision number 90/PUI-XXI/2023, which was referred to as the result of the power intervention, was refuted by the issuance of the Constitutional Court's decision number 141/PUU-XXI:2023 which confirmed that the decision number 90 was not colored by intervention and did not result in legal uncertainty. So he said, Gibran's candidacy had very strong legitimacy.
"It should be underlined that the Constitutional Court's decision number 141 was decided by eight Constitutional judges without Anwar Usman's involvement. So that it is clear for the lower class people without Anwar Usman, even the Constitutional Court unanimously continues to make the same decision regarding the opportunity for young people to run as presidential and vice presidential candidates," he said.

Then regarding allegations of human rights violations, according to Habiburokhman, the public understands that Prabowo has never been proven to have committed human rights violations.
"It has been almost 15 years since the 2009 election, the public has been able to access in cyberspace the decision of the honorary council of officers and the decision of the president BJ Habibie regarding Pak Prabowo's accusations of being involved in the kidnapping of activists," said the Deputy Chairperson of Gerindra.
It turned out, added Habiburokhman, in the officer's honorary council document it was found that the decision was not a court decision and was only a recommendation. Then in the presidential decree document BJ Habibie stated that Prabowo was not dishonorably dismissed.
"In fact, it was stated that Pak Prabowo was given respect for his services while he was a soldier of the armed forces of the Indonesian republic," he said.
"God willing, Pak Prabowo can convey the maximum vision and mission of the program and ideas in the debate tomorrow," concluded Habiburokhman.
