Instagram Users In Europe Can Get 'Ticket' To The Threads App
JAKARTA - In early December 2023, Threads decided to comply with the EU's Online Service Regulation (EU). With this decision, the Meta-owned platform will soon be present in Europe.
Threads is rumored to be coming to Europe in December 2023. However, Meta has not provided any information regarding the launch date and it appears the company did it on purpose.
From The Verge report, Meta quietly updated the Threads display on the website. The platform has a backward time counter without any information. The counter shows the remaining six days.
In addition to time counters, Meta has also made a special update for Instagram users in Europe. They can type in the ticketwords in the search box and Instagram will bring up the ticket icon next to it.
When the icon is tapped, users can get digital invitations directly to Threads. This invitation comes in the form of a QR code and users can scan it when Threads officially launches in Europe.

Reportedly, Threads will be present in Europe on December 14, 2023. Meta has not made clear whether this information is true and which European countries will feel the presence of Threads.
With this region expansion, Threads can increase the number of active users. So far, the total active users in Threads have only reached 73 million, five times smaller than platform X.
