Eko Darmanto Reveals Many Games In Customs After Being Detained By The KPK

JAKARTA - Former Head of Yogyakarta Customs and Excise Eko Darmanto said there were many games at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. He claimed to be a victim because he often revealed the presumptuous practices carried out by his colleagues.

This was conveyed by Eko after officially having an orange dream and being detained for alleged gratification today, Friday, December 8.

"I am the one who reveals the most untrue things that happen in Customs and Excise," Eko told reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, December 8.

Eko then mentioned some of the dirty games he meant. Among them are related to imports of gold and sugar smuggling that have the potential to harm the state.

"There are nine people who have gone to prison, working with the prosecutor's office, the prosecutor's office asking me for help, including the biggest case you know, the gold case. Behind him (there is, red) me," he said.

"And now there is sugar smuggling. Two years of state losses Rp 1.2 trillion," continued Eko.

Even so, Eko did not want to reveal who the colleague was. Including, when asked whether or not there were central customs officials playing.

He only hopes for justice considering that he often uncovers cases involving other employees. Because state losses are very large and there are many other cases. I have already conveyed it to the investigators inside," he said.

Previously reported, Eko has officially become a KPK prisoner. The gratification case that ensnared him was a continuation of his wealth which had gone viral on social media and was investigated by the Directorate of State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) of the KPK.

Eko is suspected of violating Article 12B of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Government
